Two Academy of Our Lady of Guam graduates from the Class of 2018 each signed a “2018-19 National Letter of Intent (NCI)” administered by the NCAA on behalf of the Collegiate Commissioners Association (CCA). Lavona Rae T. Aromin and Hanna I. Rojas-Rhodes each accepted a Women’s Rugby Scholarship with Mount St. Mary’s University located in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Both young ladies will be leaving island to begin their college careers in the Fall and will be part of the Mount family’s Class of 2022.

According to Hanna, “Not only did the Mount offer me an amazing opportunity to get a great education, but I also have the chance to play on their varsity Rugby Team in Division l, which was one of my dreams since 2012.” Lavona Rae is “incredibly excited to be a part of another family, hoping to create a bond with all of [her] teammates and Coach Douglas”at the Mount. Lavona Rae also received a Leadership Grant from the University in recognition of her academic and personal achievement. Kudos to both graduates!
