AOLG Advancing Women Educationally (AWE) Program
Join the AOLG Advancing Women Educationally (AWE) Program to help prepare for the G.E.D. test. Program open to women 18 years or older who do not have a high school diploma and who qualify. Classes to be held on Saturdays at AOLG campus. An appraisal test must be taken to determine math and language skills level prior to attending classes.
Ysrael family donation for AOLG STAR Wing
The Ysrael family recently donated a total of $500,000.00 to the Academy of Our Lady of Guam High School. The Ysrael daughters are graduates of the Academy and have established themselves in their respective communities as successful and contributing members of society.
The school is fortunate to receive a most generous donation from the Ysrael family. The Ysrael’s charitable donation will assist the school in providing its students with a cutting edge education as well as prepare them for college and life careers. The donation will go toward the school’s STaR (Science, Technology, and Resource) Wing and other capital improvement projects. The Academy encourages students to pursue higher education, in the sciences, medicine, technology, architecture, engineering, and liberal arts.
Elizabeth Y. Arnold, Esq. graduated Salutatorian of the AOLG Class of 1980. Her Senior year at the Academy, she was a National Merit Scholarship Finalist and the Camarin Chapter National Honor Society President. She continued to obtain her Bachelor’s degree at Stanford University, California, and her Juris Doctorate degree from Columbia University, New York. She is currently a teacher and a full time mother.
NHS New Members 2013
The Academy of Our Lady High School recently inducted eighteen (18) new members in the school’s Camarin Chapter of the National Honor Society. The National Honor Society (NHS) is a national organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. NHS serves to honor students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character.
