| Guam Delegate Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo and the Chairwoman on the House Subcommittee on Insular Affairs, Congresswoman Donna Christensen from the Virgin Islands, are pictured above with members of the Classes of 2008 and 2009. The Congresswomen visited with the students and encouraged the young ladies to return to Guam after college in order to give back to their local community. |

A retreat at the Capuchin Friary was held on August 3rd prior to the first day of school for school administration, faculty, and staff. The retreat enabled them to take time to reflect on team building and team work. |

Freshmen Breakfast, another tradition at the Academy held the first week of school, gave all incoming new students an added opportunity to get to know one another. |

| Freshmen Parents Welcomed at the Academy of Our Lady |

The Academy of Our Lady family welcomed its newest parents at the Freshmen Parent Orientation Meeting, held on August 17th. In the auditorium, parents were briefed on procedures dealing with different aspects of the Academy. Upperclassmen students shared about “life” at the Academy. At the end of the evening, parents were afforded the opportunity to experience first-hand what their daughters go through during a school day. |
