Hafa Adai and Welcome to the Academy of Our Lady of Guam academic year 2025 - 2026.
For our new students and families, we are so excited to have you join us and become a part of over 75 years of the rich legacy of AOLG.
Our mission statement reads, “The Academy of Our Lady of Guam, rooted in the unique charisms of Catherine McAuley, foundress of the Sisters of Mercy, is an Archdiocesan secondary school. With a dedicated faculty and staff, the school promotes the holistic development of a diverse population of young women, fostering academic excellence, responsible leadership, global awareness, social justice, and compassionate service for all in the tradition of the Catholic faith.
That means that everyone at AOLG is dedicated to helping each and every one of you grow. We are here to guide you, to teach you, and to advise you. Each of you are different in some way and it is our mission to prepare you for the world outside of these walls. We will continue to promote the holistic development of a diverse population of young women. This task goes beyond the classroom; it’s about nurturing every aspect of who you are. We remain committed to fostering academic excellence, challenging you to reach your highest potential. We are a college preparatory school after all. Beyond academics, we develop responsible leadership, empowering you to be catalysts for change and make a positive impact.
In a world that is more interconnected than ever, we strive to instill global awareness, helping you understand and appreciate diverse cultures and perspectives. Our commitment to social justice calls us to be the voice for those who can not find their own and to serve others with compassion as Jesus did when he walked the Earth. Our mission is to help the whole you, academically, emotionally, and spiritually.
You are an integral part of our school community and together with God’s grace we can make this school year successful. We can help build each other up, we can strengthen our Sisterhood, We can encourage each other to do and be our best. Because that is what it means to be in communion with one another. To be a part of the Academy family
I am incredibly excited to witness all that will unfold for each of you.
May this be a year filled with blessings, purpose, and joyful discovery
So welcome once again and let the fun begin!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Iris J. Gaza, ‘00
